The Ever-Learning Founder

Datuk Kee Cheng Teik

With close to four decades of experience in property development, project management and construction, Datuk Kee Cheng Teik has built a distinguished career spanning residential, commercial, retail, and institutional developments across Singapore, Malaysia, and China.

Datuk Kee holds a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Malaya and an MSc in Management from Nanyang Technological University. He began his career in Singapore in 1988 and joined Goodyear Management Group in Kuala Lumpur in 1996 to lead its flagship project, Bandar Tasek Mutiara, in Penang. He was subsequently appointed Chief Executive Officer of Mutiara Goodyear Development Berhad (MGDB) and became its major shareholder in 2008. Datuk Kee was instrumental in a major phase of growth for the company and a public listing on Bursa Malaysia. When MGDB was taken private in 2010, he founded Briswood Sdn Bhd, a boutique developer.

Today, Datuk Kee continues to lead Briswood with a clear vision to create thoughtfully designed developments that combine quality, integrity and enduring value. Guided by a commitment to excellence and responsible development, he believes that great places are measured not only by what is built, but by the communities they enrich and the legacy they leave behind.
